Master Bath Makeover: Design Inspiration

I've always had this vision that our master bathroom would be bright and airy, a couple of years ago I wouldn't have had a clue on where to even begin. This project was not a major priority in the first two years as we had bigger tasks to tackle. But it is time, time to make my bright and airy vision come alive.

I have really grown to love simplicity. Since this room is the first and last room we see every single day and night, I wanted it to breath and I wanted it to feel fresh. Also, considering this is the smallest room in the house but one with the most traffic, it was crucial to make it feel and look bigger.

White & Gray:

I looked for inspiration that used a lot of white & gray to open up the small space.

Oil Rubbed Bronze & dark accents:

Because white can be too much at times, I want to bring contrast into the space by using dark accents such as dark grout, oil rubbed bronze accent metals (curtain rod, faucet, hardware, etc.), and simple decor pieces that are metal and or ceramic.

Wood:

Nothing screams more simple and fresh than using wood accents in a room as both design and functionality. I envision wood open shelving and a custom wood framed bathroom mirror.

Overall Decor Style:

Modern Farmhouse with a touch of Vintage.

(Hence the flooring, wood, metals & white, white, white!)
