Small House Classic Paint Scheme: Gray & White
One of the most common home questions I get is "What colors are your walls?"
Picking out paint colors had to have been in the top 3 most difficult things to do when we first bought our house. First of all you want to choose timeless colors that will stay classic in the every-changing style and with a billion color options available it sure can be a nightmare! I already have commitment and decision making problems so you can only imagine this was quite the task. I spent weeks before we even got our house keys looking for inspiration on Pinterest and Instagram.
So why not share with you my all time favorite paint colors that are in our home and save you some time!
From Left to Right
1. "Raindrop White" By Behr Paint (found at Home Depot): We have our Kitchen painted this color. It has the slightest touch of silver and it is cool toned, perfect for any color cabinet!
2. "Revere Pewter" By Benjamin Moore (Found at your local BM store - just google it): This paint color is throughout the majority of our home -- living room, entry way, stairway, hallways. It is the perfect "griege" if you ask me. It has the perfect touch of gray and beige that it will look just fine with wood or white trim (I've had both with it).
3. "White Dove" By Benjamin Moore: This is the prettiest, creamiest and softest white. We have it on all of our trim, shiplap wall and even a small striped accent walls. It look absolutely amazing against Revere Pewter. For sure my all time favorite "white."
4. "Willow Creek" By Benjamin Moore: This is the color I get asked about almost daily! We have it on one wall (our accent wall in the living room). It is a dark gray with purple under tones. I wanted a darker accent wall on the side of our large window and patio door. If you want to do an accent wall in a small home always put it on the wall with the window to make the space appear larger. This color is absolutely gorgeous and I would definitely use it again and again.
